la ciudad que nunca duerme
New York is SO fun! Poeple are everywhere but after you get used to it its so neat! I love the metro and being a tourist! In one weekend, I experience multiple different modes of transportation. The subway, bus, shuttle and plane so it was nice to come home and drive. It cracks me up to see all the different attires and all the different lifestyles of people. I think the most hilarious part is China Town. The street venders keep me laughing. I'm not sure how many times a person came up to me and whispered"Rolex, Rolex, Rolex - Handbags, Handbags" but the even more hilarious part is when you ask them what they have you see them look strategically around to all there mates and they make sure the coast is clear before showing you. Its crazy how the sight of one policeman could make so many people fun and leave you stranded. HA! I'm not into the whole fake purse thing, mostly because I don't care and secondly because I never use a purse anymore but I did get some fake Ray-Bans and Coach sunglasses. I had to give in. We ate at this delicious restaurant in Little Italy. The salad was so fresh and the calzone was real Italian. I enjoyed the culture and architecture. I loved all the rod iron and aromas of cannolis. It was a very cute area. I saw Times Square, Rockefeller Center, FAO Swarz, the Apple Store, Central Park, Macy's [8 stories high], Statue of Liberty and a lot of other things in just TWO days. I can't wait to be able to go there and spend more time in all the different areas.
I will post some NYC pictures later tonight after I have Christmas with my brother and his family. We're having yummy turkey and are going to exchange gifts. I can't wait! Christmas is super soon!
Merry Christmas!
