la primera aventura

This past weekend we had a group trip to go Zip Lining and on a crocodile tour and after the day trip some of us decided to stay overnight in Manuel Antonio (a beach about 1.5 hrs from the Herradura where the zip lining was). This was our first adventure and I am going to give a RUN DOWN:

Saturday
6am - Departed for Herradura
9am - Arrival in Herradura for Zip Lining (which, don't hate me, I skipped!)
11am - Finished Zip Lining and headed to lunch
12pm - Ate lunch at a local restaurant
1pm - Arrived at the Crocodile Tour (where we saw someone feed a HUGE crocodile named Fidel Castro)
2pm - Finished up Crocodile Tour and headed for Manuel Antonio
4:30-5pm-ISH - Arrived in Manuel Antonio, checked in to our SUPER nice hostal and enjoyed on beautiful sunset
6pm- Grabbed Dinner at a local Soda and enjoyed ourselves
8pm - Let loose at the Hostal, visited some friends at a different Hostal and just enjoyed the moment
11pm - Slept in my first hostal with one girl I knew and two other of our "closest friends"
DONE!

Sunday
8am - Woke up and met one of the people I had a nice little sleep over with
9am - Ate Breakfast (TOAST!) and Headed down to the beach (about a 40 min walk I would say)
10am - Relaxed around the Beach (and got super BURNT!)
11am - Found the greatest little Beach Church and attended (YES, in the sand in my bathing suit BESTHINGEVER!)
12pm - Made a nice Nutella Sandwich for Lunch
2pm - Walk around Manuel Antonio for a bit
4pm - Left the beach and ate some french fries at a local soda (I was tired of rice and beans)
5:30pm - Headed back to Heredia
10:30pm - Finally arrived in Heredia (just fyi, CR has about 2 highways and there super popular on the weekends)

Now for a Cost Run Down..

Travelling Costs- 20 bucks (we could've done it MUCH cheaper, but we're nubes and we wanted to be comfortable)
Hostal - 16 bucks (all the 13 person 10 dollar rooms were sold out)
Food- 15 bucks
Souvenirs - 10 bucks
Water - 2 bucks

yeah, it our next trip will be even cheaper than this one.. cause now we know how it works
oh just for knowledge... 1 dollar equals about 500 colones here in CR so when I have diez mil colones I am pretty much a MILLIONAIRE!

just a little picture of what I get to see everyday, PRAISE HIM!

JEALOUS? yeah, you should come to this beautiful country!

I love that the Crocodiles name was fidel castro and am pretty sure that is what we are going to name the IKEA Crocodile that hides under Lilys crib. I love that you are having so many experiences, and I am going to go eat some french fries now because that sounds yummy
