Tantas Experiencias!

Today was the first day of class and it went well. I only had one class but I had to get there early to talk to the directors. I took the bus (what an experience) and it takes me about 30 mins to walk to the bus stop, wait for the bus, get on the bus and arrive to school. It´s crazy because Leah only has to walk for about 7 mins and she is there. It´s interesting. I kind of wish that I lived closer so that I didn´t have to do so much but I have to take on this lifestyle and enjoy it. Luckily today my host brother JuanK rode with me to school and came to get me on the bus. I have to remember the landmarks we spotted but I guess we´ll see how well I learned tomorrow when I take the bus alone. I have 3 classes tomorrow so it should be nice and long like today. Today, since I didn´t have class, I hung out around the University (or in tico talk ¨la U¨) and walked to the mall (about a 20 minute walk) with some friends and then ate lunch in the cafe (where you don´t get things like sandwiches and pizzas but things like rice and beans). After class, which went well because the teacher is very chill, I met Leah´s mother and then we went into town to walk and look for a store that had Costa Rican flags but we couldn´t find one. After we gave up we decided to get some icecream at a local creamery called POPS haha. I´m going to gain weight here, hopefully walking so much will help me a little bit. Again for dinner we had rice, beans and some kind of beef. Nothing that I have eaten has been bad but I feel super bad when I have to tell them that I don´t like something. I don´t want to offend them but I also don´t want to gag because I would. On a brighter note, when I got home I found out that my family got a puppy and her name is LULU! ahhh, she´s so cute! I´m excited because Leah has a dog (but her family told her to wait to touch it because its mean) and I was super jealous. Well, this entry was super random but that explains my day.
