arroz y frijoles.

A better name for my blog would be "rice and beans" because of the amount of rice and beans I eat here. On a good day (bahahahaha) I eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast consists of Gallo Pinto, a comida típica (typical food) of Costa Rica that consists of rice mixed with beans, some scrambled eggs that lack salt and sometimes fried cheese (yuck, not my fave) or a piece of "sausage" (sometimes that means hot dog, yeah, i know gross but I have to admit sometimes its good!)
I promise it's really not bad. :) I actually really enjoy it!

Then comes lunch and it could be anything from lasagna to picadillo (cooked veggies) but no matter what I will have the option to have rice and beans on the side. Most of the time I deny it with my pasta because thats just not my thing but with my veggies it's really nice to have something to mix in with my picadillo. For dinner, a lot of times it is left overs but on the rare occasion its not we will usually have some sort of meat (usually beef) with rice and beans. YUM!

Don't get me wrong, I love my rice and beans BUT I do get tired of them. At the same time, if I haven't had them in a while and my mom places a plate full in front of me, I have no problem sucking down every last bit of them. :)

Well, thats enough about rice and beans....
