ATTENTION: old post that never got posted!
The people of Costa Rica (TICOS) are very americanized to the point where they use a lot of english words in there vocabulary! I am going to list a few that keep me laughing..
-The ticos don't say "pepsi" rather they say "peksi".. this one keeps me rolling! haha.
-Along with "pepsi" the ticos say "piksa" for pizza, so its really great when you want a "peksi" with your "piksa".
-Instead of saying "preparadora de café", the ticos just say "coffeemaker" haha its super funny in the middle of a sentence!
-Also, instead of "armario", they say "closet" which usually turns into "closek" hahah.
-Alot of them "oh my god" so its really funny in the middle of a great story to hear "OH MY GOD"
