Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

Here we go again with Awkward and Awesome Thursdays!

a w k w a r d.
-being stalked. My 8th grade students enjoy stalking my Facebook and telling me things they know about my life based off what they can see off my private page. Does anyone know how to make it where they can't see who my friends are? It's getting bad.

-when one finger nail decides to chip but the rest look bombsauce. This is not just awkward, it's annoying. Now I have to repaint all my nails, shoot!

-when a guy comes up to you at the gym and challenges if you can lift the bar that's in front of you. .... No, I definitely wasn't going to try and lift the bar that I just spent ten minutes setting up. I just did that for fun so I can look at it.

-the feeling of sickness I get when my kids as me what something is in class that we've talked about 5 thousand times. Like do they really not get it or is it just the end of the year? I hope it's just the end of the year.

-answering the question "Do we do this in Spanish?" If you don't know, I teach Spanish...and I'm really not sure why students are always asking if we are supposed to do our assignments in Spanish or in

-13 school days until summer. I am beyond excited to complete my summer bucket list and I am even more excited that I don't have to work while doing it!

-dry erase markers. I think I could spend hours writing and erasing on those things and I'm a teacher. Like that's my job and I still love it.

-going on walks. Hi, I'm Linsey and I like going on long walks on the beach... but no, really, I do. I also like walks with friends, walks after school, I just like walking. It's relaxing and refreshing.

-geocaching. Guys, it's so fun! Seriously! Everyone needs to try it. Karly and I got pretty discouraged at the first two stops because we had little luck and could not locate the cache but we finally found a third one that was near our house and we were beyond excited!

-lifting weights. what? I never thought I would be one of those girls that enjoys lifting weights but I do. I love seeing the progress I can make and  how strong I really am. Last weekend I was a part of a "Spring Strength Challenge" at my gym with my trainer Zack. I set three PR's: 68 second straight bar hang, snatched a 12kg Kettle bell 100 times in 5 mins and deadlifted 260lbs.

I love these posts and I hope you do too!
